Skill Level

Laser Storm Skill Levels
What are they, and how do they work?

Whether you have a membership or not, on your scorecard you will see a Skill Level and Skill Points. This is a system where you earn skill points every game, and once you get enough you can advance to the next level.

If you don’t have a membership, you start on Level 1 every game. A membership lets you accumulate points, and it keeps track of your players stats.

To earn skill points, you need to tag other players in the game. If you tag someone with the same skill level, you will earn 1 point. If you tag someone on a higher level, you earn more points, and a low level player will give you less than 1 point. Here is the formula:
Skill Points Earned = Opponent Skill Level / Your skill level

Example, if your on level 5 and hit someone one level 5, you get 1 skill point.
If your on level 10 and hit someone on level 15, you get 1.5 skill points
If your on level 1 and you hit someone on level 40, you get 40 skill points
If your on level 10 and hit someone on level 1, you get 1/10th of a skill point (you would have to hit them 10 times to get 1 point)

To advance a level, you need 25 times your current level in skill points.
So, if your on level 1, you need 25 points. If your on level 11, you need 275 points, and if your on level 50, you need 1,250 points.
